Weapon Concept: SUN-RYZE

Sci-Fi energy weapon that has multiple functions. It is called the SUN-RYZE. In theory it is a short range weapon used to breach into heavily fortified rooms. Or as a straight up weapon. The SUN-RYZE is special because it emulates a star close range, however it has fall off damage so the farther away the less effective it is. While in short range it can obliterate most materials due to the intense heat. It has an added feature of a “heat shield” when both triggers are held the barrels create a sustained energy barrier that protects the user from ballistics. This is because it melts the munitions before it gets to it’s target. Sadly barrier does nothing against other energy based weapons.
